DRACULA:

Bram Stoker: 1847-1912

The author of the dracula is Bram Stoker. Mysterious and tormented: that's whats we know about Bram Stoker, the crator of Dracula. And, indeed, that is how he must have been to imagine such a bloodthirsty creature. 107 years later, the aouthor is perhaps not so well remebered but Dracula is certainly still as famous as ever. It's a case of a character that has "eliminated" its author!

Who could have imagined such a thing?

What feverish, tormeted, creepy imagination could the bloodiest novel of all times have come from? Who was the inventor of Count Dracula, the famous vampire that would end up terriying the whole of England and the rest of the world?

His name was Bram Stoker, a practically unknown writer when his novel appeared in London in 1897. Dracula is his creation, the creature who has even managed to "vampirise" his author by becoming more famous than the man himself.

Dracula, the character, is now 115 years old, and is still going strong. The "number one vampire" regularly decides to come out of the dark to appear on TV, in comics or in the cinema (there are 80 films about this "adventures"!). What a great success this was for the obscure Bram Stoker, who wrote only one masterpiece in his whole life, and it was this one!

This literay comic was so good. It's so long, but it's OK. I like a lot this comic!!

The Adventures of Tom Sawyer

The author spend his childhood in a little town next to the river Mississpippi, and he left school when he was 12 years old. He was typographer, a steamboat pilot, and a gold digger, before becoming the most famous American writer of his time. He's name is MARK TWAIN.

In the spring of 1835 in a modest house in a little town next to the river Salt, in the state of Missouri, a little boy was born. His parents, John and Jane Clemens, called his Samuel; it was their fifth child. The Clemens family had emigrated from the state of Tennessee hoping to start a new life in the West. Like many other thousands of Americans at that time, they had travelled to the "frontier", on the border of "civilised" Amercia, and they had entered the great unknow territories.

All those pioneers dreamt of colonizing the plains, the mountains and thw woods of the West, where the Indians still lived in freedom.

This literary comic it's very funny, but it's so long. There are a lot of exercices of vocabulary. I'll like this literary comic.

Hi,

My name's Núria Ros and I live in Banyoles in Catalonia. I don't like the area where I live because there aren't many places where young people can go in their free time.

I think the council should do something about this. In my opinion they must have some cinemas and youth cafes, so that the yong can go there.

In my opinion, the council should do something about this, in order to improve the town's situation.

Changing things, banyoles would be better to me.

Núria Rs
